None of this should be left unsaid when you entrust a tool with the contract documents for a project.

Hosting

Your data is hosted in data centres located in France, with Clever Cloud. Your projects and documents are stored in France. Documents read by the AI are processed, only while the document is being processed, by Anthropic (United States), under standard contractual clauses; the full list of sub-processors is set out in the privacy policy (in French). The infrastructure is redundant, and your data is backed up every day.

GDPR

You remain the data controller; Kablann is the processor. A data processing agreement is signed with every subscribing customer, whether practice or contractor, listing the sub-processors and their locations. The rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability can be exercised from within the tool or by simple written request.

Encryption

Encryption in transit on every connection, without exception: no page, document or message travels unencrypted. Encryption at rest on the disks that hold the database and uploaded files, including backup copies.

Backups

Automatic daily backup, kept on a rolling basis, on infrastructure separate from production. On request, Kablann restores the latest available backup.

Permissions

Each person invited is given a role: client, contractor, engineering consultant, quantity surveyor, team member. The role determines what they see — and what they do not. A contractor sees only its own trade package. A client sees neither your margins, nor internal messages, nor unsuccessful tenders.

Data export

At any time, with no prior request and at no charge: your practice's administrator downloads your data as a workbook readable without Kablann, along with the complete file for each project: documents in their original format, earlier versions, a table of contents and the project log. You must always be able to leave with your data.

AI service providers (sub-processors)

AI processing relies on models operated by Anthropic, under contract, with a contractual ban on reusing your content to train a model. Document reading is triggered by an action from a member of the subscribing team, or when a document arrives at the project's email address or in the project's mobile messaging thread (Pilotage plan and above). Outside these cases, no content is transmitted.

Data retention

Subscribing customers' data is kept for the duration of the subscription, then for twelve months — time to export it — before deletion, unless the law requires otherwise.
